Description |
The painting portrays ledek dancers with musicians. The ledek dance is a folk entertainment dance, in which the female ledek dancers perform at a feast following a harvest. The men often join the dancers in this communal dance, while the rest of the community, men, women and children, look on and cheer, in praise of the good harvest (Quoted from https://auctions.sidharta-auctioneer.com/lots/view/4-152BS6/penari-ledek-ledek-dancer). |
