Description | Scene from the Ramayana epic with Balinese wayang kulit. In this scene the sacred white Monkey Hanoman who has reached Alengka where Shinta is kept prisoner by Rahwana, shows Shinta and Rahwana’s niece Trijana who tries to comfort Shinta the ring of Rama as a proof that he is being sent by him.
Most probably this painting is by the worksjop of I Ketut Sekar, a son of Jro Dalang Diah the pioneer of glass paintings in Nagasepaha, Buleleng. |
