Description | Decorative portray of buto (“giants”) that often appear in shadow puppets (wayang) plays. In various temples buto statues (Dwarapala) are used at the entrance to guard the temple such as in Singosari (East Java, see picture below).
The idea for the painting was provided by the late O’ong Maryono with the plan to realize small decorative paintings to give to friends. |
