| Description | This glass painting was made to advocate against polygamy in the context of increased radicalization in Indonesia. The painting was conceptualized by artist Butet Kartarejasa and realized by Maryono. Such ‘orders’ are common for glass paintings with painters ready to follow new ideas. The painter Maryono is the younger brother of Sastrogambar –another well-known painter of glass paintings. |
